ART WEEKEND BUDAPEST 2023 – The first AWB event in Budapest

In 2023, we launched the Art Weekend Budapest (AWB) festival, which debuted in the capital on the first weekend of December. Through a variety of exhibitions, guided tours, art tours, and discussions, AWB introduced culture enthusiasts to Budapest's exciting and diverse contemporary art scene. At the first AWB, we organized a total of 58 programs. In addition to exhibition openings and artist talks at 29 venues, guests could take part in guided art walks on 8 routes, three times a day (once in English). The Cross-Artour walks were very popular. On these tours, which took a different route each day, fashion designer Kinga Cakó, creative professional Ádám Kanicsár, and musician and creative professional Péter Jakab led the walk and shared their thoughts on the exhibition in question in dialogue with the gallery owner/curator/artist.
