CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ART

In the Hungarian translation of Auguste Rodin's book Conversations on Art, Pál Pátzay writes: “Artists themselves rarely speak out, because they are silenced by the certainty they have gained through direct experience that the essence and visual content of the visual arts cannot be expressed in words. Thus, public awareness of the visual arts is indirect and less than professional.” (Akadémiai Kiadó, 1988.)
Art is woven into our everyday lives, so we became curious about how each of us thinks about it. Why do they engage with it? Why are they interested in it? We address our contemporaries who are artists, art professionals, or collectors, whom we encounter in this fabric. Our goal is for everyone to find the words and thoughts that bring them closer to enjoying art.

"My monochrome paintings raise the most questions, mainly why someone would paint with only one color, why someone would renounce the use of colors despite their enchantment."

"Despite discovering filmmaking, I remain open to all other media; experimentation is also important to me from a multidisciplinary perspective."
